Go Dutch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Go Dutch mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using Go Dutch, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services.

I. Information We Collect

We collect both personal and non-personal information:

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Name, email, phone number, and login credentials
    Group details, transaction descriptions, amounts, and participant information

  • Optional content, such as notes, photos, or comments shared within the app
     

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device and usage data (IP address, device type, system activity

  • Location data, if enabled

  • Interaction and engagement metrics (features used, time spent, etc.)

  • Payment metadata (transaction amounts, timestamps, etc.)

II. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver and improve Go Dutch features and services

  • Facilitate secure and seamless group expense tracking and payments

  • Communicate with you about your account, activity, or support requests

  • Prevent fraud, ensure app security, and enforce our Terms
     

We also use aggregated, de-identified data to:

  • Analyze usage and group behavior trends
     

  • Develop business insights for internal and external use
     

  • Sell or license anonymized trend data to third parties, including brands, researchers, or commercial partners
     

This data will never include your name, contact information, or any identifiers that could directly link the data back to you.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:

  • With trusted third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors like Stripe, Venmo, Zelle) who support our platform

  • In response to legal obligations, such as subpoenas or lawful requests

  •  In aggregated and de-identified form for analytics, insights, and monetization purposes

Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You use Go Dutch at your own risk and are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

VII. Children’s Privacy

Go Dutch is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we’ve collected data from a child without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

VIII. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. By continuing to use Go Dutch after such updates, you accept the revised terms.

IX. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
All disputes arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or your use of Go Dutch shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
You expressly consent to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum or jurisdiction.

X. Account Deletion

Users may request the deletion of their Go Dutch account at any time. To do so, users must log into their account via the Go Dutch application, tap the profile icon or initial located in the top-right corner of the screen, and navigate to the Settings section. Within the settings, users can select the Delete Account option. A confirmation prompt will appear, and upon user confirmation, the account will be permanently deleted.
